This bug went away after connecting the ipod to a mac with iTunes and
re-installing the firmware. Presumably an ipod bug (possibly from

Yes, not having the fonts embedded in the pdf can cause this type of
issue. So, in this case the font might be installed on Windows but not
Ubuntu. This kind of situation is most times caused by the fact that
Ubuntu (or anyone else) can not distribute the font due to
licensing/copyright/whatever

Turns out the server has SCP and not SFTP capabilities, so everything I
was trying was failing. Turns out I need to use the 'fish' protocol in

After the latest security updates last week in Hardy, I'm seeing this

Yes I still do experiment the first bug.
Concerning the second bug, the gnome-keyboard-applet always crash on my
computer so I can't test if the bug is still there.

I have a Dell Inspiron E1405. This bug is present both when writing to
my SD card and to my USB SD card reader. Different cards yield the same
results, and it works fine/full-speed on Windows.
For me, this bus is very pronounced. When writing any file over about
100MB, the speed suddenly drops

Ok if I have this script:
#!/bin/bash
zenity --info --title="Hello" --text="Hello"
and I save it as ~/hello and do chmod +x ~/hello
Then double click on it and select "display" the dialog box saying
"Hello" will pop up instead of opening it with my text editor.

you seem to be the only one having the issue and it's likely something
specific to your configuration so maybe you could open the bug on
bugzilla.gnome.org directly since you are better placer to reply to
upstream comment than bug triagers not having the issue
