I have at last tracked down the glitch. It seems that yet another
package designed to work with evolution, nautilus-sendto, has evolution
as a recommends, and evolution has spamassassin and gnome-pilot as
recommends, so the update-manager sees the 2-step connection and keeps
flagging spamassassin a
Upstream has committed a patch for this fix; will be providing a debdiff
with that patch shortly so that this issue can be closed here in Ubuntu
as well.

I would say that this is a definite necessity. It's pretty much accepted
that mice should "just work" but they can't really be said to "just
work" if not all buttons work.
Ideally I think that ubuntu should should ship with a sane set of
defaults such as side buttons being forward and back. Obviou
it's a gnome-desktop bug not a nautilus one. rejecting this task.

Rhythmbox crashes when I try to play anything - mp3 or internet radio.
Following a post from another source, I ran from terminal to get the

Hi Sebastien,
I feared that you'd say that, because I prefer how it was in Gutsy - not
visible -, at least the other volume in the root directory still isn't. So the
conclusion seems to be, the different behaviour in Hardy is supposed to be a
feature not a bug.
