Heh. It's not even C++. ;)
Anyway, I'm a Gaim dev. I think I'm closing in on a solution. Hopefully
I'll have a patch shortly, but I wanted to document my findings as I
went in case I gave up half-way through. That way, someone else could
pick up where I left off. :)

Sebastien, aren't panel applets part of the session that is being saved
with respect to the "Ask on logout" option? I'm quite certain in the
older versions of GNOME, panel configuration was not preserved unless
this option was checked. I thought this bug sounded quite related as if
the bogus pan

I too am having the problem of "Internal error Failed to Initialize
HAL!" dialogue popping up each time I boot my comp.
I typed 'lshal' and got:

(from an MPC or APE, with a script), then drag the newly created WAV to
the trashcan, then enter the trashcan, and click it while it is in the

I don't know why I can't reopen but, in launchpad, the table fields
status and severity are insensitive. Not clickable.
What action I do exactly? I just open any file with any program. It does
not matter what file and what program. Also it doesn't matter if I left-
click the file or I right-click

This is a really old problem. The old GNOME "cross" was cropped for
sure in my GAIM windows.
Perhaps this should be a scalable icon? (The "right" answer, of course,
would be for app developers to actually give this icon the space it
needs in GTK ui's...)

of the file, then right-click on it. Select "Move to Wastebasket". The

I have no idea how it ended up in gnome-session.
And it is definitly a Terminal Server Client issue.
The problem is that no matter how vncviewer is exited it always show up
as an error in TSC (TSC calls the command vncviewer when it does a vnc
connection).

happening behind the scenes (I'm not a hacker, I'm just a simple user)
but with the fact that the interface doesn't do what it should do.

I'm using the latest dapper x86. When using the flat-blue theme, the
weblink desktop icon is extremely small and illegible. The stock GNOME
icon should be used if there is not an appropriate icon in the theme. I
will attach a screenshot with this glitch.

I've no real idea on your issue but reopening the bug since you provided
details and somebody else might have some idea on it. Note that you
would probably get a better reply on bugzilla.gnome for it, upstream
knows the code and is usually responsive and try to get issues sorted.

something useful, i.e: that we could want for as a dapper-updates

I did not mean my previous comment in a derogatory way, but I meant to
communicate that I am unable to read my mail with this bug, and that
this is not a cosmetic bug.
I've tired the Simple theme, and I've received the same results. I
tried to start the X server with the nv driver, but it failed.
Same problem here...
