I was helping a friend install woody. I noticed one could install
xdm, kdm, gdm, wdm, all without installing x-window-system or perhaps
x-window-system-core. Needless to say, we didn't get very far that
day. Is that normal? Shouldn't there be some dependencies?

Maybe at least allow prompting once with an initial username, the
