I used to use the evdev driver and identified my devices like

yes, there was an old libXrender in /usr/X11R6/lib. it was not
part of any package. removing it fixed the problem.

my system. now after installing additional debian ttf-packages,
i would like to have *one* clean solution for all fonts. is there
a script that copies the fonts around, generates indexes etc for

This took place on #kernelnewbies, with greghk beeing the residential pci guru
in linuxland.
This was done to clearify doubts about if this patch is the right thing to do,

since some time my nodeadkeys setting in my XF86Config does not
work anymore. I tried both handmade and automatically generated
config files (xf86cfg), with the same negativ result.
