since my last upgrade the font in the menu of xmms is way to small. how

Thanks for your help. I will try to reduce named logging.
Now i have disabled logging for iptables, auth, debug, user,
mail.info and mail.err and mail.warn in /etc/syslog.conf,
so the logfiles aren´t growing so fast. I have viewed them
before and hope it is ok to disable, i will see.

an ftp-server. So i have combined some perl examples for an web upload
script and it works fine under suse with apache and thttpd (2.20), but

One year ago i had the same problem and found a program named powerswitch
from Joris van Rantwijk. The only thing you need is setting the power button
from on/off to suspend in your bios. You can get it here:

sure if lilo sets the root-device in the kernel image, it might
be useful to have a boot-cd at hand and to take a look at 'man rdev' if
the kernel fails to find its root-fs.

After upgrading to Hamm, Lyx doesn't work any more, complaining that it
"can't load library 'libforms.so.0.81' ". This is reported as bug #18477.

error, lost libforms.so.0.88, screamed in pain, de-installed libforms and
lyx, re-installed it and voila, there it is!!

Both are more comfortable and the option for ISO 9660 support is there
