Hi. my name is Ricardo and i intent to be a Debian user. so i'd like to
know if the hardware on my machine is suported by your version 3.0r0
(woody).
i have: a Asus motherboard mod: TUSL2-C(PIII700, FC-PGA), VGA ATI Radeon
7500 64mb DDR Agp, a Creative Live Player 5.1, a Alcatel Speed Touch USB
l is probing the PCI bus and doing something to
the card right at the start of the boot. I can provide much more detail
on what I have done if it would help. Are there any kernel
configuration settings that could be causing this problem (and how do I
check them?). Would greatly appreciate a
en it seems to turn off. Brian, is
pci-scan.o on your system? It was not on mine, and I had to compile it
from the sources. Also Brian, where did you find out about ifup and
/etc/network/interfaces? None of the Linux networking references I have
even mention it.

It can be overridden by the dir owner from what I can see.
ct linux system one of the steps is having it in it's own
filing system.
Running a 3 year old distribution I can understand the confusion. Linux has
grown quite a bit since that, a.out, antique version you're using. You
probably can't run X because you have half ELF and half a.out files that WON'T
talk to eachother.
Upgrade and move on to better days.

I have afterstep 1.0pre-6 and have no problems. Not using shadow either. But I

To install the KDE I only had to edit the configure file and add
/usr/X11R6/lib for QT lib dir and /usr/X11R6/include/X11/qt for the qt
include dir.
