With the new kernel 2.2, you can use IPROUTE2. The problem is that isn't a .deb
package, so you must compile and
install it, becase it's .tgz.

but the problem is that the applications for save and configure the desktop
don't invoke any program but it seems that load some binary modules:FvwmConfig,
FvwmSave etc. That mod

Probably you will have more than one version, so you have to link in the newest
one to the binaries resident in the older one.
I had the same problem with g77 (it did'nt find the libf2c.a) and with two

Also if you want grub2 instead of grub-legacy, then if grub-pc is
present, then install it and if not, then install grub2 (under
unstable it's grub-pc)...
