Hi Debian!
Since Oct. 18th attempts to use the new installer with the linux26 or
expert26 option cause a hang and a frozen keyboard at "Installing
Base-system". I filed a bug:
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=278254
It could be my machine: KT7A Abit mobo, 3 strips of 168pin 256M

Who knows where that thread goes: can't follow it, no time.
Anyway: In installing gnome-volume-manager I also lost the Nvidia

Reason is that the former installs hal and udev

Hi!
I am looking for a bitmap editor in woody. (You know, to edit the mini

I have used it and I thought it was called "bitmap", apparently not.
My apt-file search bitmap currently provides this gem:

Hi List!
You can easily get a most recent Mozilla on Woody by downloading the
tarball:
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/mozilla/releases/mozilla1.6b/src/mozilla-source-1.6b.tar.bz2
putting this in your sources.list:

Hi!
I run Backstreet Ruby on Debian Woody: 2 monitors, each with keyboard
and mouse.
I recompiled X 4.3.0 for it because you have to patch X to only
listen/talk to one videocard/XFree86 server.
On the one card: RIVA TNT2 Model 64 I have a Samsung SyncMaster 750S.
On the other one: GeForce4 MX 4

Hi World!
Having recently switched to Mexican AT&T ISP, they sent me a CD with
something called Internet Runner on it. I did not open it because I
threw out my XP Professional.
It claims "speeds up to 4 times faster". Faster than what?
Anybody have a clue what that that thing might actually do

Hi World!
Woody apt-file when sources.list contains CD's fails with:
Can't locate object method "host" via package "URI::_foreign" (perhaps
you forgot to load "URI::_foreign"?) at /usr/bin/apt-file line 189.
If you take the CD's out it's fine.
But I want to search for files in the Woody CD's.
