Try clicking on the file /usr/doc/rvplayer/examples/welcome.rm with
Netscape. This works for me (both rvplayer and netscape 3 installed using
the .deb installer packages).

I know it works for me so I checked and found two entries in
/etc/inetd.conf.
The commented line has /usr/sbin/ftpd.in and the uncommented line has
/usr/sbin/ftpd which is a symlink to /etc/alternatives/ftpd, which is a
symlink to /usr/sbin/wu-ftpd-academ.

I have /dev/ttyS0 shown as belonging to group dialout and have added my
username to the dialout group, but I get

I've done 1) by mounting the CDROM on another linux box and it went quite
smoothly. I wou

with permissions.
On the other hand, possibly PPP support has not been compiled into your
kernel. You can check /usr/src

mention that pine is somewhat broken and that the fix for this is to use:
smtp_hello_broken_allow=127*

drivers supported in gs? I was able to edit a few files to change
drivers, but still haven't f
