There is a new Debian security advisory about fetchmail. Since sarge
does not get security updates (why not??), I built a new package using
unstable source. This is not installable, because fetchmail-common
does not get built. Is there any way around this?

I use `setleds -D +num' from the console-tools package. I put a

This is only for the console. For X you need numlockx, from the

The best way I've found around this is to use epochs when compiling my
own kernel with make-kpkg:
make-kpkg --revision=1:custom.1.0 kernel_image
This is discussed in the kernel-package docs.

I've seen this before with Debian kernel-source packages, which
sometimes have some of the bugfix patches already applied.
I didn't have any trouble applying the 2.2.10 patch to 2.2.9 here.

Here's what I'm using in .fetchmailrc (it works for me, at least):
poll proto pop3 user password mda
"/usr/bin/procmail -d%T" limit 20
I've also gotten it to work with /usr/bin/formail as MDA. exim and
smail are MTAs, not MDAs.

Unfortunately yes. Winmodems will not work in Linux.

Look for a directory "upgrade-older-i386" on the CD. If it doesn't
exist, take a look at

it, you should probably use LBA to get under 1024 cylinders.

I can't seem to find 'mysql-base' any where. The server also
needs 'mysql-client' which needs 'libmysqlclient6'. I looked for this file
on the packages.debian.org web page but came up empty handed. Anyway I
hope someone can shed some light on my problems. Thanks.
