Since the upgrade keeps libc5 on your system, there should be no problems.
I don't recall if the upgrade removes libc4 (a.out), but if you have any
binaries requiring libc4, you should probably replace them anyway.

I had no problems installing the package from downloaded
from ftp.sdcorp.com (I even licensed it). You need to have libc5
installed, but Debian 2.0 has that available (in oldlibs) as well as
libc6.
I notice that the display sometimes acts up when scrolling, but that's
probably an X problem.

PCI NE2000 cards are supported directly in kernels >= 2.0.34. In earlier
kernels, they work fine using the ISA NE2000 driver. Unfortunately some
NE2000 clones are more compatible than others. Mine (generic with Realtek
8029 chip) works fine with either driver.

Yes, most use the iso9660 file system. Assuming you connected to the
master channel of the secondary controller, try (as root):
mount -t iso9660 /dev/hdc /mnt
Then 'ls -al /mnt' should give you a directory listing of the CD, etc.

IIRC, the plan is to be able to use apt to accomplish all this with even
less pain. I haven't tried that method of upgrade myself but don't
believe it is quite ready. Apt is quite slick, however. I
call discussion of methods of modifying the 48 bit

will have a PCI driver for PCI ne2000 clones. I'm using this driver in
2.0.34pre12 and it works fine, but the ISA driver did also.

I have been successful installing the base system from the
base2_0.tgz file from both 2.0.5 and 2.0.6 (now in Incoming). I had
problems with some earlier versions.
