You cannot mount the extendet partition, only the logical drives in the
extended partition. Logical drives start with /dev/hd?5.
dmesg | grep "hda:\|hdb:" can tell you more about your partitions.

mpfs cannot be mounted. Usually the mount point is
/dev/shm. Check if the direcotry /dev/shm is there and if the line in
your fstab is correct:
tmpfs /dev/shmtmpfs defaults0 0
Also make sure that your kernel has tmpfs support. Or comment out the
line in your fstab.

the files? If you have some other software (like some windows player)
that can play them, maybe using that player's disk writer plugin (if it

They are rotated here (on Woody). Make sure the cron jobs are run. If
your system is not up and running 24/7, install anacron.
