Yeah, that sounds about right.

I am brand new to Debian and spent the weekend trying to get it to work.
I must admit that I am incredibly impressed with the quality of the code
and general ease of install. I have preformed two installations now, the
first also had the same mouse problem that I have after the second install.
I'm new to debian and exim. I am used to sending mail
via sendmail from the command line, i have tried to do
this on my new debian installation and have not had
success.
I have read 'man exim' but did not really find the
answer i sought, like:
/usr/sbin/sendmail [EMAIL PROTECTED] < files.txt

Isn't he partners with Larry Ellison in something, these days? I
think I remember reading about it.

G'day,
It sounds like when you are running X-Windows, and you move the mouse,
absolutely nothing happens. Is this correct?
If this isn't correct (and the mouse moves, but not where you want it)
then you need to try different values for the Option "Protocol" in the
XF86Config-4 file. Re
Out of the available Deb'd emailing solutions can anyone recommend a good
SMTP-IMAP combo ?
I have heard good things about postfix, although I seem to have got exim
doing pretty much what I want.
But which IMAP package is favoured ?

Why not use mail or mutt. Which is normal thing to do f
Thanks Alvin, but I still havent got it to work.
I've tried using initrd and I still have a problem.
What is happening is that the kernel is trying to mount the root device
(/dev/rd/c0d0p1) before it's loaded the DAC960 driver.
Compiling the driver into the kernel doesnt help.
I've set DAC960

hi ya john
i think you have the classic problem of the chicken and the egg
- you cant read the disk till you have linux running
- you cant get linux working till you can read the disk
"linux --> the kernel"
- you need to create your own custom initrd.gz file
with you

This is the kernel version, not the debian. Debian is 3.0, I suppose.
