Yeah after a few minute(maybe five at the most) the system boots fine. I did
recently change my ip on the bow so maybe I missed something for the DNS

It is intended to run Debian and KDE2, maybe also OS/2 4.
I did some research and i have the following in mind now:
motherboard SOYO K7VTA
Mem 128MB Corsair PC1
i use avifile for divx, compiled it on a few different potato machines and
1 woody machine(hasnt been updated since july) without any trouble.. the
only thing id suggest with avifile is to redirect all output to /dev/null
otherwise it pukes all kinds of crap to the terminal chewing up cpu.

Thunderbird CPU. Also, look into a better video card. ATI doesn't support
the Linux cause at all. You can pick up a TNT2 for $50 and with XFree 4.0.1

I recently upgraded my woody box to Xfree 4.0.1 so i could use the Nvidia
0.9.5 drivers. Everything works fine but gdm no longer works proberly. It
starts but when i try to login it just restarts gdm. But if i stop gdm and
startx instead everthing is fine, but i want to use gdm. Also I'm us

You probably need to install the libgtk-dev package for your installed
version of gtk.
If it still doesn't work after that, try deleting the config.cache file
in the directory you're running configure from.

You're trying to compile software, so you need the -dev package for
whatever libraries it needs. In the case of Gtk+, it's libgtk1.2-dev;

why isn't it is probably because it doesn't need to be. for me anyways.
