Hi,
I'm having some trouble playing any files whose names have blank spaces,
such as "MythBusters - S01E13 - Buried in Concrete, Jet Taxi, Daddy
Longlegs.avi".
It says: "Failed to open file Mythbusters%20-%20S01..".
The weird thing is that it only happens when I try to launch Mpl

I noticed a problem with using grep and more. I am using the defaults
for the package which is running on a Debian lenny system, using the
BASH shell.
Lets say the file foo has 40 lines:
1. one
2. two
3 three
4. four

40. forty
I type on the command line:

Hi,
Last night I tried to work from home on my university's network. First
the command "ssh -f [EMAIL PROTECTED] xterm -sl 2048 -fg beige" didn't work.
I got "can't open display" error message. So I did some google search
and tried "ssh -X [EMAIL PROTECTED] xterm -sl 2048 -fg beige". But when I

Even further OT, but have you had a look at kernel-package? It builds a
kernel for you and packages it up into a nice .deb.

Dear Debian Users,
I'm using Debian 3.0r0 SID using a 2.4 kernel.
Initially Debian installed with the 2.4.18-bf24 kernel.
Because I needed the 2.4.19 kernel for various reasons I got it from www.kernel.org
The steps I did:
-untar the kernel to /usr/src/linux-2.4.19
-make a symlink from /usr/sr

Hey,
I've gotten this problem many times w/ the Etherlink III. For some
reason the card doesn't seem to work w/ debian's factory kernel in PnP
mode. I hate PnP anyway, so I disable that (there's a utility to do
this on 3com's site.

The best way I think is, you should compile your own
kernel and modules, for your cards. First of all
examine the current situation by looking at the log
some where or the console when you try to insert the
modules

I've got a spare machine which I'm trying to put Debian on. It's a K6-2 450,
128MB RAM, 10GB HD. Not a bad machine at all. I've had trouble putting Debian
on it before, and ended up using Redhat. I'd love to get Debian working on it,
