Thanks Patrick. I don't think DebianEeePC has any specific info on the EeePC Model 1215b. They have a link to a Squeeze 2.6.39 backport that probably works; but they warn against using it; and recommend Squeeze instead. I'm still using Debian Squeeze 6.0.4. Full 1366x768 resolution displays fine

The segmentation fault was caused by a faulty video clip. totem works from a terminal window but problem of playing youtube video clips with the browser is unsolve. I have started a new thread Iceape Video Problem to avoid the confusion caused by the defective video clip. Tom -- To

Video problem on a ASUS A1300 with woody

I've can't seem to get X to work correctly on my ASUS A1300 Laptop. Every time I try to start X the screen turns black, the it starts turning white from the bottom right corner and continues to fill the screen. That can't be a good thing. The Video is an SIS630. I'm running Woody, with a 2.4
