Strange, we use them at work in about 2 dozen machines and I have some
at home too. I've never had such troubles with them across many
different kernels I've built as well. Hell, we've had a couple of them
in our linux mail server for the last year, and it services 15,000
users. One handles NFS tra
I'd recommend you wait a month or so as some debs are soon moving from
alpha to beta with what appears to be lots of progress. Many Debian
users are installing from the source but for future compatibility and my
own laziness, I've decided to just wait around for the debs.

kept updated very often at all. I can only compare it to gnutella under

I've searched the archive of this list and read the responses people have
sent in about needing to edit Fortify's Index file to get Fortify to
properly modify Netscape to handle 128 bit encryption but while I could
find the Index file I have no idea what line I need to add to get fortify

slashdot had a ditty about helixgnome and I'm curious if anyone using

about making debs?

We're running into a problem with the version of glibc that's on our

machine at home a few weeks ago without a hitch but the machine at the
office is a news server that handles over 4 gig of alt.binaries

I'd be very interested to know details about how to do this. Searching the
list archive, someone else mentioned editing the index file, which I found,
but I don't know how to properly edit it. Any help would be appreciated.

I compiled it into my 2.3.24 kernel the other day. I haven't messed with it
yet since I run linux on a separate drive and just have the 'doze partition
on the ata/66 drive. It detected the drive anyway.

Make sure to have the necessary dos system files like command.com on that
floppy since you need to boot your computer into dos to be able to run the
bios upgrade. You'll want to format that floppy with the option to install
the "system files" on it and then copy the bios upgrade software and boot
