Hi there,
does anybody know why Netscape does not use /etc/mailcap and
/etc/mimetypes ? It is rather annoying that Netscape won't startup
gv for .ps files even though we have such a nice mime-type
definition for every package.

the card has not been released too long and
the fourth revision is out already (look at the Parallel Tasking chip,
ours is 004 now, the 001 version didn't find our BootROMs after quitting
Windows). The performance seems to lag behind the brilliant Tulip's from
Digital or Intel's c

indeed your /usr partition is to be mounted there then it means
you are in big trouble !
Have a look at /etc/fstab and mail us the contents...

old .steprc but spread out over different files to organize
the configuration data into logical blocks. Thus you'll find it not too
hard to cut and paste your old .steprc into the files in GNUStep Debian
has set up for you...

ess, you don't have SCSI compiled into your kernel or modularized:
For Debian you can activate SCSI module support by "modprobe aic7xxx"
which should take care of all the modules needed.

, I got my hands on a Diamond Fire GL 1000 Pro AGP, and guess what -
it ran straight away (not tested on Debian 2.0 yet, but should work
according to Yamamoto) ! Thus I feel quite confident the Elsa problems
will be solved when the new server appears...
