When I try to start the "Volume Control" on gnome ( debian unstable ) I
receive the following message: "Sorry ,no mixer elements and/or devices
found".
My sound card works nice ( CMI 8738 ) on kde , but I can't control the
sound volume on gnome applications. Xmms works fine too.
