He made a stupid blanket statement, as he did not specify WHAT version of Outlook had the problem (and made it "sound" as if they all did, which is NOT true obviously, and you even showed proof that his statement was incorrect to at least one version of Outlook). OTOH, you called it hogwash, and made it "sound" as if ALL versions of Outlook did not have the problem. Which is quite probably false. This is not much better than what he did.
