It sounds like you just need to install one of the fake identd packages, like nullidentd, and make your router forward port 113 requests to that. nullidentd will always answer "foobar" to any request. I run it on my router (a Debian machine) to fool silly IRC servers which require an ident service

You're right. Any key combo involving Fn isn't going to get picked up by software I'm 100% sure it's a setting. It works fine in Gnoppix, which is based on Knoppix/Debian If I run showkey -s on a console in Gnoppix I see the keycodes of the Fn combos involving the Fn key. And also acme works ove
