I'm not sure what the problem you're having is... This is
exactly what Firewall Builder (fwbuilder) does when you build rules
using it... In my case a quick 'grep ^iptables rules.fw |awk '{print

gnome-terminal draws the line characters correctly when I'm not using
screen - that's the weird part.

I have a box with a Compaq 3122(?) dual port nic which IIRC is basically a
dual 3121 (which uses the eepro100 drivers). It finds both ports just fine.
Dual port nic support is probably driver specific. In the case of the
eepro100, it is.

I am trying to deny access to the secure-mcserv daemon on a per user
basis through pam_listfile in Debian 3.0 (Woody). There is a
secure-mcservuser file under /etc/ssocket/ which apparently has been
put there to the purpose. But it does not seem to be working, e.g.,
if I list user john in /etc/s

No surprise !! Penguins are used to water... :)
But please, don't feed your box with a fish... :)

I've added blackbox in this way, but I'm still missing something.

Ok thanks for you the quick response, I have no knowledge on how these

The general consensus seems to be that the cheap ATA RAID cards (around $100
USD) are not worthwhile. They don't implement RAID in hardware, they rely on
drivers to do the actual work. The more expensive ATA RAID cards (around $300
USD) do implement RAID in hardware and work well.

I get the feeling that the only IDE RAID controller you have heard of is
HighPoint and/or Promise? True they have issues. But there are also _real_
controllers, such

Escalades controllers have served me fine. I havent had a chance to play with
the new generation controllers. But the old one has run flalwlessly with
hotplug/hot rebuild and all.

Most smtp servers will allow you to do this. Exim is the default SMTP server. I
don't have any experience on the above, so I comment further.
