I've just finished repartition my hard drive using FIPS and have confirmed
that the partition was done, but the new partition doesn't seem to be
formatted. I am a little bit confused how to format the new drive. Do I:

I want to run a program when I log out of my X session (specifically,
"kill $SSH_AGENT_PID") and I can't figure out how.
Xreset runs as root, and this should be run by the user.
fvwm2's ExitFunction also runs when you restart, and I don't want to do
this if I just restart the window manager

just for curiosity: in Debian versions prior to 1.3 there was not
at daemon (atd). After I upgraded to 1.3 there is an atd process
hanging around. Does anyone know why? I guess at processing was done
by crond in previous version, why did it change?

I've got fetchmail up-and-running on my local system. It is configured for
multi-drop - i.e. all incoming mail for my domain goes into one account at
my ISP which fetchmail receives and then "resends" to smail on my box for
delivery to the individual accounts.

I ran into the same broken afpd as well. When I went back to rex and used
that package, which for some reason does not depend on the appletalk
libraries, the problem went away. Perhaps it is the libraries (libatalk

I commend the Debian development team for choosing the 2.0.29 kernel
rather than the 2.0.30 kernel in the v 1.3.1 release. My experience

My ISP-sysop says it tries to connect using CHAP, though only PAP is
available. So where to tell pppd to use PAP? I put comments around +pap
I recently recieved my i-Connect Debian 1.3 cd (binary only), and recieved
the signal 11 internal error in cc1.
gcc is 2.7.2.1-8
kernel source is 2.0.30
This happens on a P166 with 48M and a P100 with 16M.
Both of these systems compile kernels just fine under Debian 1.1.

One other thing you need to do: add a blank line, followed by the
following lines to /etc/smail/directors. THIS SHOULD BE THE LAST LINES
