I do this currently by using the following line in
my apm suspend script:
dcop --all-users kdesktop KScreensaverIface lock
Something similar could probably done in acpi. If this
feature should be added by default, as I think _not_ wanting
suspend to lock screen is a special case, these scr

I'm not sure if the original submitter's bug is really a bug - some may say
that leaving it to X's autodetection is a feature instead. The way I'd like
to see this bug get resolved is for there be an option in the control panel
