Package: kdm Version: 4:3.3.0a-1 Followup-For: Bug #236806 I'm not sure if the original submitter's bug is really a bug - some may say that leaving it to X's autodetection is a feature instead. The way I'd like to see this bug get resolved is for there be an option in the control panel for kdm or fonts to optionally NOT use X's autodetection, and instead add a -dpi flag to kdm's Xservers config file - there could be some drop-down menu of common dpi settings that the user could choose from, and then there could be some dialog box about changes not taking effect until X is restarted.
It would be nice if users had the ability to choose -dpi without editing the config file, but I also thing the default behavior of letting X autodetect is appropriate...
