The screensaver theory sounds quite promising. When I start the KDE control

I think network-manager-kde is a nice tool that a desktop user would want. If
you could add a recommendation into the kde metapackage (or perhaps some other
place that you find more suitable), I think this would enhance the experience
for KDE users

Currently, qmake is an alternative that points to either qmake-qt3 or

FYI, the KDE forks of simple-patchsys.mk and kde.mk have been integrated into
cdbs 0.4.38, so you can drop them if you like.
Also, the debug package support in cdbs 0.4.37 allows you to drop all lines of

Is there some sort of effort underway to reduce the effort in manually
replicating the KDE (or freedesktop) menu files to the Debian menu files
format for each package? I guess that with some of the announced features
for the latter (e.g., translations), this could become quite cumbersome.

Why does kleopatra require gnupg2 specifically? In personal communication,
Werner Koch indicated that gnupg2 is by no means to be used for any
production work, and I can personally attest that it does not work very well.

No, that was me being imprecise. It links with libqt-mt.so.3.
Bug #218971 describes some unclear interaction between licq (which uses
Qt as user interface), Qt, and the kernel. I don't understand a word
of what it says there. The previous maintainer of licq solved this bug
by providing a wrapper script that does
