I try to set key bar "|" on my keymap that I've
configured in this folder:
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb/symbols/macintosh/it
where "it" is the file containing the config.

What's the better way to configure my keyboard
under X ? I've a G3 (B&W) with a keyboard

Perhaps you all should have read my post more fully. It is NOT an
old kernel, it is 2.2.18pre21 and I tested an install. It works
fine for 2.2.r2 Debian as I said. It SHOULD be used unless you are
posting yours for 2.2r2.

Hey Folks,
Has anyone out there put together a .deb of openmotif ? If so - where
would I be able to download it ?
And a more general question - where can we find PPC .debs ? I recently
moved from LinuxPPC to Debian PPC, so I am still trying to find my way
around ...
thanks all

Hi,
Does anyone know what OldWorld machines can boot from slave disks? if
any, from OpenFirmware only. (i am not interested in miboot/BootX).
The reason I am asking is for ofpath, i currently attempt to guess
OpenFirmware paths to slave disks as well as primary, but if they are

Starting X Windows by default is not, to my knowledge, determined
by kernel arguments. Also, adding single

This is quite old. I don't think even Redhat does it from inittab
anymore. It's done from /etc/init.d/[xw]dm these days. It's all
part of the default run level and what gets started and run for that
level. Somewhere there must be a howto on /etc/init.d and
/etc/rc[0-6S].d directories. Read the
Almost forgot: there is also an official command for doing this
stuff in Debian: update-rc.d.
Read the man page on update-rc.d and you should be able to set
things the way you like.
