I have finally been able to install Debian 2.2r5 on my PowerMac 5500 with 15" Apple MultiScan Monitor. I ran xviddetect which detected Mach 64 as the vidoe card. But i haven't been able to start up X. When i give the command startx, the monitor goes dark for some seconds and then gives error mess
