Hello,
I have an iBook G4 933Mhz with Debian Sid and XFree works for me
(included 3D acceleration :-). I've installed xlibmesa-gl1-dri-trunk and

Basically, all you should need is
/usr/share/doc/xserver-xfree86-dri-trunk/examples/XF86Config-4.radeon
plus an appropriate ChipID, e.g. 0x5968 or 0x4c66 .

Please, note that I use the fbdev 4.2.1.1 with XFree86-dri-trunk

Hi thread,
I'm sorry for my multiple postings... The first posting appeared in the ng

Now I'm a patient boy.

The displayed freq (999MHz) doesn't necessary mean that it's running at
999MHz?

Kernel compiles, like the other benchmarks, are complex and a straight
forward comparison between difference platforms is not really fair. As
someone pointed out earlier, generating PowerPC code is a more complex
affair than generating x86 code (which I have to admit, I did not know
either).
