that with the AGP module unloaded my Powerbook 6,8 suspends to disk
just fine.

al intent is always hard to do, but I will say that
you can run MOL even if you're using a 2.6 kernel.

I'm seeing the same problem with 2.6.17-rc1 on my Powerbook6,
-14 series should work. At least that's been my
experience on this powerbook. The bad news is that you'll need a
newer kernel for wireless.
hope that helps.

There was a problem booting on some Powerbook 6,8s with linux kernels
between 2.6.12-rc-something and 2.6.15-rc5 inclusive. 2.6.15-rc6 and
rc7 shoul
er that, and the bottom 5/6 of the screen is covered in
golden brown stripes. With 2.6.15-rc5, it's more or less the same
thing, only the screen is covered completely in golden-brown
stripes. The same hibernation setup works OK with 2.6.14.3.

I have had suspend to disk work -- and quite well at that -- but
lately (that is, with kernel 2.6.15-rc5/6) it crashes when I t

key remappings work fine, and the OS X remapping also works. This is
on the Powerbook 6,8 1.5GHz G4 12" with Canadian French ADB keyboard.

build, install in an appropriate place, and
then run "modprobe appletouch". For sound, enable the drivers when
you configure your 2.6.11 kernel, and assuming things are set up
right, you should be able to hear sound.

Ordinarily, I wouldn't bother so much with having the latest kernel
version, but I'd like to be able to suspend to disk. Any suggestions,
hints, or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
