Have you tried taking a look at alsamixer? With my Powerbook 12", I had
to use alsamixer to unmute some things (can't remember off the top of my
head) and then used alsactl to store those settings so that they were
remembered on next boot.

A life

terminal, and run alsamixer. Then move right until you get to the Input
Source. There you can either choose Mic or Line In.

Hello,
Is there anyway to control the fan speed on my Powerbook? I'd like to
set it so that it comes on sooner rather than later (i.e. turn it on at
a lower temperature)?

Hello,
I've very nearly got my Powerbook to be as functional as I'd like it
under Debian. I've read this page
http://www.mathematik.uni-marburg.de/~schmidtm/apple/powerbook.en.php
and it talks about getting suspend to disk working. However, there are
no instructions at all and a search on Google r
Hello,
Thought that I'd report the success I've had with compiling rivafb in
the kernel. The latest kernel doesn't need the rivafb patch, which is
cool. I now get to dim the backlight of my LCD. GREAT! Thanks a lot to
the guys who had discussed this issue before on this mailing list.

Hi all,
Is there anyway to get the nv driver to work with the vga-out on my
Powerbook 12" with a fx5200? I've tried playing around with the
CrtcNumber option but it doesn't seem to do anything and instead, I get
a blank screen on both monitor and LCD.
Any help on the subject will be appreciated.
