Hello list,
anyone ever arrived in getting the microphone in the ibook (I have one
dual USB, 700, radeon M6LY) to work?
I am currently running an alsa which works quite fine (it even works
with my suspend) but I can't find how to get the micro to work.
Any ideas?

Hi,
I have an ibook 2.2 dual usb (the one with the radeon M6LY), and it just
ran fine. I used the meta (apple) key with tab to switch my desktops on

I could use them with the "use windows keys" option in icewm config...

Hello,
anyone ever tried to open an ibook 2.2? I need to get to the HD, but I

Hello,
my iBook is damaged, so it doesn't boot anymore properly for more than
2-5 minutes. Therefore I will return it, but I want to remove yaboot
first, so they can't say it was my fault and a software error.
Unfortunately it doesn't live long enough to just reinstall macOS X so I
have to do it

Hello,
I think we had this some time ago, but I can't find it anymore :-/. So
I'm very thankful to every hint.
Problem is, that my ibook just switches off with about 50% battery. When

hi,
I got an ibook2 with the radeon M6 LY running with dri (thanks to all
support ;-) ). Normally divx films work fine, but now I have one that is
cruelly slow. But if I switch off sound, it is as fast as all the
others... so it seems to be a sound issue.
Kernel is 2.4.20-rc1-ben0.

Hello,
I am using my ibook2 at school, where some of my friends also use
laptops. So we want to do a WLAN (my wlan interface is eth1), but as there is
no access point, we
have to do it otherwise.
Changing the state of the airport card via "iwconfig eth1 mode Ad-Hoc"

Minutes. Is there a way to turn the screen off manually perhaps with a
