I have a problem with the above card: Xfree 4.0 doesn't recognize it,
although it gives this card as one of the available cards on startup. So
now I am back to fbdev, only with the new server. Anybody has this card
running with the ati or r128 driver? The xserver-xfree86 package is the

The current woody is borken regarding perl5.6: most packages are still
5.005, so 5.6 programs usually won't work since there are not enough
packages for basic tasks. So some programs barf if your perl 5.6 is your
default perl (btw: why is there no alternative system installed on my

almost all packages that depend on libgtk1.2 - any known current

libstdc++.so.2.9 that is installed in Debian/PPC? There doesn't seem to be
another version of Netscape that runs with the newer lib, I think that 2.9
came with GLIBC2.1, right?

the system segfaults. Any known reason or any idea where to look for a

Is there such a thing available? The base-tar is already in sid, even a
driver-disc (from the name I deduce that it is for chrp-machines). But no
resc-disc. But without it is a bit of a problem to configure the base
system - or are there any hints on how to configure the base system
manually?

I currently have an Realtek NE2000-clone. This card is correctly found
with the ne2k-pci driver, but the driver is unable to send packages out to
the ethernet - it send's out arp-requests for the destination address and
creates lot's of errors. Does anybody have this card running? And if not:
