Hi! One problem: in some packages I can't use 8bit-chars. Those packages usually use GTK or TK for graphic output. Most notably those are X-Chat, TkRat and Postilion. Any idea what happens here? Other X-Applications accept my umlauts just fine, only those named apps have a problem.
Usually I would think that it's a problem of the application, but both TkRat and Postilion are supposed to explicitly support umlauts, so I am a bit confuzzled here. Any ideas? bye, Georg
