Hi,
I have a biG5 lying on my desktop, could someone point me to a iso
image that will allow me to install debian on this machine
You can try with this one and use debootstrap.

So, as I've noticed that I can't successfully compile a 64bit powerpc

Precisely what toolchain/kernel sources (ie give me URL's or debian
package names) do I need to build a ppc64 kernel?

there is a generic ppc 2.6.3-ben2 in the same iso too. works in my G4

Hello,
I have a problem with 2.6.3-ben2. mkisofs makes non ppc-bootable iso,
where the same command makes bootable iso with 2.4-ben
I suspect an hfs problem, as bootable iso uses hybrid hfs. Maybe
blessing the boot directory?
Has anyone meet problems with HFS in 2.6.3-ben2 ?

Hi,
unfortunately it is common practice to place a vfat on usb stricks. Hence

Isn't a fdisk for ppc available?

You're welcome in the list above. It's a kind of knoppix project with ppc
