Maybe not, since quik is called automatically during kernel
installation, while BootX requires you to manually transfer the kernel
and maybe initrd to your Mac OS partition.
For now, I dont know how to boot the debian cd and how to install bootx
and make it work whit os and debian..

The problem seems to be linked to the "LANG" environment variable (type
'env | grep LANG' to see the one you have setup).
When I run gnome with french language (fr_FR-ISO-), xine doesn't
start with the error :
xiTK DIE: create_labelofbutton()@121: xitk_font_load_font() failed.

Still struggling with getting the scsi-emulation working in order to use
the cd-burner on my iBook2 14".
I've compiled scsi emulation into my kernel version: 2.4.20-rc1-ben0.
I've added an ide-scsi file in /etc/modutils containing the line:
alias scsi_hostadapter ide-scsi
and run update-modules

OK...well, Clearing the PRAM w/ cmd, opt,P,R works, and got the mac
running again. I decided to use BootX to get started, and loaded
root.bin as ramdisk...np there, I got to the installer.
Got to fdisk (or it's Mac equivalent) and set up the partitions. Told

Dear list,
First thank you all, it works now with scsi emulation :)
My Tibook is old model, alas, I'm a newcomer to the macworld and bought it
5 days before the new one came out. Fact is that i phoned to Apple
at that time and they didnt even warn me. This said, it's a 500MHz,
20Gig of harddrive.
Dear List,
I'm sorry to ask you for this problem,
as it is not strictly debian related, but i swear
i searched hard :)
So here's the problem : i've just bought a tibook,
and can't get a cd audio to work.
/proc/sys/dev/cdrom/info reports that my drive is unable
to read CD-A.
i echoed 0 in /proc/sy
I am considering buying a PowerPC for my next workstation and have a guy
interested in selling me one. I was wondering if this machine is
definitly supported by Debian PPC. Thanks in advance.
