Hello,
After my nightly "apt-get update && apt-get dist-upgrade" I got the following

This is a tardy followup to my own post to answer a couple of points
that other people have already answered, and to thank those people who
are actually fixing the problem - my hat goes off to you.

Hey everyone,
I got this error message (kernel BUG at page_alloc.c:160!) from my G3/266
with a stock 2.4.14 kernel, while doing an fsck, recovering from a previous
crash on the same kernel. Is there somewhere in a log that I can look to get
more info out to the world about this?
Thanks!

Why? It works fine here
I managed to build the following with Nov. 12 sid using pbuilder, so I
believe that they can be requeued.
xmms-cdread 0.14a-2
pspp 0.3.0-6
kdebase-crypto 4:2.2.1-7
I filed the following bugs.
tkchooser 119431
sphinx2 119433
ginac 119464
chess 119475

Hm, looks like it needs to be recompiled because of the whole
libsdl1.2debian thing. Where can I find the "quake-game" package?
And where's the source? :)

Michael,
Forget about my non-sense with the x86 crap. R3 and R4 are pointing to valid
strings. I forgot about offsetting values by one when reading addis/addi
opcodes as I was getting tired. I just needed a good night sleep.

Another idea: increase the sync delay or number of syncs before the ioctl.

Rory,
Here is the link to help you:
http://www.macdisk.com/fontsen.php3
The tool is called TT Converter and let's you convert a mac resource file to
a true type file that can be used in Linux.
I added a line to my XFree86 config so my apps to find the mac fonts I added
in a sub-dir in my ~ dir.
Michael,
I just came back from work and finally could spend some time on this kernel
crash.
I tried putting up to 5 sync() and even moving the close_partition() call at
the end (making a total of 10 sync()). It still crashes but less frequently
with this mod.
I tried running the code on x86, bu

Sure, 9pt Geneva (writing) or 9pt Monaco (coding). You have MacOS,
so you have these fonts. There are tools to create the inde
Hello,
Well I have a working Sid iMac, and I compiled QuakeForge with great
sucess and it runs the DOS Quake CD's .pak files.
However, I figure there is a Linux .deb for running Quake, the Quake 1
mods, DoE and SoA and Quake 2 (I own all of these) on Debian PPC since
Quakeforge works. All
