I was trying to understand what procedures I should follow to create a
bootable CD for my G4 PowerMac.
I thought that I have to use mkhybrid.
Any hint/help? Also is there any documentation available?

Ok,
I finally got my Power Macintosh 7300 to boot directly into Linux using quik.
What I did that got me going was to switch the Open Firmware output-device
(this from the example for 7500, 7600 and 8500 in the nvsetenv man page):
nvsetenv output-device /chaos/control
On the next boot

zImage is just a link to coffboot/vmlinux.coff
that is the one that goes on boot floppies for old world
macs that use hfs file system boot floppy. new world macs
can use the ext2 formatted boot floppy. I'm pretty sure.
