Hi all,
I've just get an iMac DvD. I've burned the CD from the debian site
(ftp://ftp.debian.org/debian-cd/potato_test-cycle-2/powerpc/potato-1.raw)
and booted it on my iMac. After a fw step, I have all installed except the
yaboot part.
When I get a shell in debian installation and do :

Yup. Bug number #65180. I forwarded your message to that bug
report (the maintainer seemed to be under the impression that the
problem was woody-only).

Hi!
Here is my story on getting MOL (mac-on-linux) to work on a pismo, debian
(mostly) potato.
It compiled ok, until it borked on a missing libiberty.h. Looking around, I
figured it should be part of binutils-dev package. That is the case on x86
builds, but it doesnt exist in the ppc binary debs
Hi,
I am still using 2.2.15pre20. This is because 2.2.17pre7,
that I compiled as usual, does not give me access to ttyS0.
I am using wvdial and ppp, as described in my PowerBook page
(http://www.dcs.qmw.ac.uk/~sb/PowerBook.html). When triggering
wvdialconfig with 2.2.15pre20 it is all ok. W

dmesg|grep -i irda
tty01 at 0x80013000 (irq = 23) is a Z8530 ESCC (IrDA)
Have you tried /dev/ttyS1? ;)

That's /dev/ttyS0 on my Pismo.

Thanks Tuomas,
Yes, it is the Pismo that I have. I'll try disabling the irda stuff and see if
that
helps. I will post my findings to the list.
I assume that the IRDA drivers should be useable along side the modem. I'm not
sure what
the correct /dev for the IRDA should be. I also wish to purch
