That's fine - I'm committing this change.
What does `endorsement' precisely mean, in this co
a (MIU-FT), itself a part
of the AGNULA team, is convinced that Free and Open Hardware is an
interesting line of research that should be further investigated,
and will allocate a part of its resources in the coming months to
understand the issues involved and the possi
ast time we discussed this on PlanetCCRMA it looked like this is
not really necessary - or rather, nobody came up with a reasonable
"default" configuration that would actually provide any advantage over
base ALSA. This doesn't mean such a "default" doesn't exist, of
course.

P.S.: do you keep your packaging work under CVS or something like
that?

Sure, but in case people don't do that, I think that creating a
/tmp/jack/ directory at boot-time and mounting a tmpfs on it would be
a good idea - it could be done in an /etc/init.d/jackd script so as to
work with euid 0.
hat we are working on the following ToDo wrt to jack:
http://devel.agnula.org/tracker/?func=detail&aid=37&group_id=8&atid=141
which is basically an advice from Fernando Lopez-Lezcano about
mounting a tempfs filesystem on /tmp/jack (or something like that) and
use that as the TE
cm/controlleroo.php?group_id=8&dir_name=/packages/jack-audio-connection-kit&hide_attic=0
Instructions for using the CVS are here:

within AGNULA is an application database, noting which `sound system'

etely agree with you. As
AGNULA, our main problem is that we have some fixed deadlines and we
can't "release when we are ready" (although I would like to,
honestly). The best solution I've found up to now is to put into
Debian the packages tha
effects preview, multiple takes on each
track, mute track and more.
