Thanks. I looked at the lphdisk code and it has hda4 hard coded in
it, so the docs are ambiguous but the code is not! I repartitioned my
disk and the suspending works like a charm.

the BIOS, it is
independent of the operating system, so it should work under Linux.
I'd keep it, but if you do lose it, you can probably restore it (if
your notebook uses the Phoenix BIOS). I had to restore mine with the
lphdisk utility.

Vaio 505VE, it is Fn-F12. F12 has a little icon of an arrow pointing
into a cylinder. Fn-Esc on my Vaio is suspend to RAM, and is the same

To find them, you could set your system date to 1 day after that
future date and user find / -mtime -1 -print.
You can use touch to set the file time to be whatever you want.

Inspiron 7000, running 2.4.9. The serial_cs and xirc2ps_cs modules get loaded
when the card is inserted.
Does anyone have any clues? Any ways to debug it other than minicom?
