If you use modconf (or edit /etc/modules) to add the modules you need,
uot;mousedev" in order to use my usb mouse under X ?

"cardctl config" but shows up right by "cardctl ident". The pcmcia
howto talks about restricting the include mem options but I can't

Your sound card Realtek may have problems with frequencies. To solve
install OSS. It seems that it is supported. Install and restart.
If
installation errors, try installing alsa-oss
