Hi Dave,
Cool, it does work quite perfectly now except for the wifi (ipw3945) where
the build of the module fails with module assistant (maybe I will have to
make-kpkg module or compile the sources manually).
I still wonder about what I was asking yesterday about the installation of

Hello everybody,
I want to mount the flash player on my web browser (iceweasel for the
moment) which runs on an amd64 arch. Of course, I noticed that the package
is not available and that no binary is exists on the macromedia site for 64
bit architectures.
After a few minutes on the net, I notic
Hello,
I am looking for a good and leight weight mailing client for my laptop; one
constraint however; it has to work without X (because I dont have always
access to a graphic interface) and must be as simple to configure as
possible. I already had a look at gnus and mutt, but I didn't manage to

Hello List,
I have a problem regarding procmail. I use mutt and fetchmail (which I set
up using advises from this list :)) to retrieve my email from gmail. It
works fine and I have several filters on procmail to order my mail in
several folders.
If I use procmail while retrieving my mail, filteri

Hello List,

Hello List,
I installed Debian Lenny on my Asus G1 Laptop for java development and I
experience a very slow behaviour on Eclipse using the Sun VM. For
information, I installed Eclipse 3.2.1, the Java Sun Vm 1.5 and 1.6, all
provided by the Debian mirrors.
I already found on the net to change my
Hello List,
I recently got a new Macbook and while tryning to install debian on it I
have some trouble getting the cpu frequency scalling and the battery status
working.
I followed the tutorials on:

Hi,
I had almost the same problems with my asus laptop. I had to compile a newer
kernel (2.6.20) to make it work correctly. Apart from processor speed, I
noticed that the 2.6.20 is the first kernel with an option Core 2 duo which
recognizes the processor correctly.
Anyway, I never managed to make
ebian --> The battery is not
recognized (gnome applet says no battery is present).
So, I suppose that the kernel parameters are not the cause of this; did I
forgot something (a daemon, a program, a module)?
Thanks a lot
