Yesterday I booted my laptop to be greeted by a crc error just after
lilo started booting. I have three kernels on the machine. The
original 2.2.17 kernel, 2.4.14, 2.4.16 is the latest. The 2.2.17 boots
but when it arrives at my wdm screen I can move the mouse but there is

tree of debian, i just have one other question. Has anyone gotten the
S-Video out to work under linux? It seems to work fine under windows, but

just fine. Display is good with XF86 4.1.0, sound is good with alsa,
CD, floppy, LS 120 are ok. Onboard ethernet is Intel, it's recognized

I need some help. I am running Debian Potato 2.2r2 on
my Latitude CpXH 500. I upgraded from X 3.3.6 to
4.1.0. Now, the X Font Server doesn't daemonize at
startup. It just waits there listening to port
7100 and the system doesn't show me the login prompt.
