Hi there,
I got a Toshiba Tecra 8100 with a S3 GraphicAdapter. And everybody I know told
me thats very difficult to install and configure X on that machine. Is anybody
experienced with this project?
Thanks in advance
Heiko
I got X working on mine using 3.3.6 and the SVGA server
found here: http://www.probo.com/timr/savagemx.html
If you use 3.3.6 and that server you should be fine. You can also
use frame buffering as well - for details on how to do that you can
go to: http://wtsupport.metatec.net/technotes/redhat6.

Hi,
is there a way to test/set wm's background color as will. instead of having to
choose among White, Wheat, Orchid, Midnightblue, etc. Can I use hex-code
instead of
name? I don't have a big vocabulary on colors in english. Is there a site on
this
subject?
thanks
