Why yes, it should. For some reason, it is setting the $DEVICE variable
to xircon_tulip_cb instead of eth0 and ttySx like it should. I am tempted
to try to cludge this

Here is the patch that I submitted that fixes this problem for the
2.4.0 kernel. Once patched it will break 2.0.x... (the choise is yours)
