I'm trying to get X Windows to work with a fresh Debian 3.0
installation on my Dell Latitude CPi D266XT. My problem is that when
the system boots up and starts gdm to bring up the GNOME login panel,
the screen goes dark and nothing I do brings it back.
I've tried editing my XF86Config-4 to us
I am running kernel 2.4.20-rc4 on a sony vaio PCG C1VFK.
Debian Woody with some packages from testing and unstable. All
dependancies I believe have been met.
I have tried many other kernels prior to this all with the same results.

Please,
anyone out there got sound working on an AST Ascentia M Series and might
be able to throw me a few pointers. All I want is to play midis.
Everything else seems fine under Debian 2.2.20.
I am forced to use XFree86 3.* as there is no support in XFree86 4.* for
the Cirrus Logic 7555 vi
