I am running kernel 2.4.20-rc4 on a sony vaio PCG C1VFK. Debian Woody with some packages from testing and unstable. All dependancies I believe have been met.
I have tried many other kernels prior to this all with the same results. The bluetooth chipset is I believe an ALPS which is a CSR derivative which is apparently working under linux. In a previous install on the same machine it was all working fine. I have no idea what I have missed. Could this be a shonky hardware issue? syslog extract ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Dec 3 13:05:39 tiny kernel: usb-uhci.c: interrupt, status 3, frame# 2012 Dec 3 13:06:35 tiny kernel: sonypi: unknown event port1=0x00,port2=0x04 Dec 3 13:06:35 tiny kernel: sonypi: unknown event port1=0x00,port2=0x0c Dec 3 13:06:37 tiny kernel: hub.c: new USB device 00:07.2-2.2, assigned address 5 Dec 3 13:06:37 tiny kernel: bluetooth.c: found interrupt in Dec 3 13:06:37 tiny kernel: bluetooth.c: found bulk out Dec 3 13:06:37 tiny kernel: bluetooth.c: found bulk in Dec 3 13:06:37 tiny kernel: bluetooth.c: USB Bluetooth converter detected Dec 3 13:06:37 tiny kernel: bluetooth.c: Bluetooth converter now attached to ttyUB0 (or usb/ttub/0 for devfs) Dec 3 13:06:37 tiny kernel: bluetooth.c: usb_bluetooth_probe - improper number of endpoints.
