Hi all,
This question, in brief is - where is the vfat filesystem documented?
My Sharp M200 comes with a recovery CD which rewrites the hard disk
right back to original everything if I use it. So now I have a routine
which, in case of disaster I can edit into the partition table
enough to insert,
I'm running Woody on a Dell Inspiron 8000 - I have a cable Internet
connection through a D-Link DFE-650 PCMCIA card. The connection worked fine
until I installed kernel 2.4.7 - now it doesn't work at all. It took some
messing around to get it to work initially, so I've become somewhat

Heck, you can probably buy a replacement card complete with

Dear all,
I figured out that, in fact , I have three windows instead of two like I said
before. Also, I found that the TWM is running but I cannot do many useful
things on it other than to type and execute the
shell commands.
Please send me your suggestions.
Thank you very much,
Ruy.

I've had a lot of difficulty in atempting to get my "Laptop Dell C500"

Mobility M1" card. I'm using kernel 2.2.19.
Firstly I started testing xf86_3.3.6, but since I had no success I
decided to install xf86_4.1.0. Th

I cannot login with kdm, gdm.or xdm. The login fails everytime (authentication
failed). On a text-console it's no problem. I don't think that something is
broken, because it's a totally new installation and in the last installation
occured the same problem. I have no more ideas. Cou

Hi,
I know this is a pretty dumb question, but time is pressing and I just

I bought a used ThinkPad 760E with Win95 installed. The machine has a
slot for either a CD-ROM or a floppy drive. Obviously the floppy drive

I don't know. lsmod tells me I'm still using i82365 (kernel 2.4.7,
pcmcia-cs 3.1.
Isn't i82365 replaced by yenta_socket in 2.4.6? I had to modify
/etc/init.d/pcmcia and /etc/pcmcia.conf to use yenta_socket instead of i82365.
